Join Kristen Ittig, Partner at Arnold & Porter who will discuss the new Small Business Administration set-asides for woman-owned businesses. Start your holiday season with some new money from SBA!

Kristen Ittig is a partner in the government contracts practice group. Her practice encompasses all aspects of federal government contracts law, including litigation, compliance, bid protests, claims and contract administration issues.... Ms. Ittig assists large and small government prime contractors and subcontractors with federal procurement matters. She initiates and defends bid protests and other contract actions before the Government Accountability Office, the Court of Federal Claims, the military and civilian Boards of Contract Appeals, and other federal and state agencies. Ms. Ittig regularly assists clients in responding to US Department of Justice investigations and defending fraud and False Claims Act cases.

Ms. Ittig has substantial experience in handling security clearance litigation matters before the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals, as well as before the US Department of Justice Access Review Committee. She litigates Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and reverse-FOIA matters relating to the release of unit pricing and other sensitive contractor information. She has experience in domestic preference law, including the Buy American Act, Trade Agreements Act, and Department of Transportation Buy America requirements.

Ms. Ittig provides guidance on contract and subcontract negotiations, performance disputes, and the formation and administration of teaming and strategic alliances. She also counsels companies on compliance obligations relating to federal contracts. She assists companies in audits, investigations, and suspension/debarment proceedings. She provides advice regarding small business matters, including maintenance of small business status, affiliation concerns, and strategies for acquisition structures. Further, Ms. Ittig advises contractors on the avoidance and mitigation of organizational conflicts of interest.

Ms. Ittig has been a featured speaker at multiple industry events, and actively follows procurement-related legislation. She is the co-chair of the American Bar Association Public Contract Law Section's Legislative Coordinating Committee.

Ms. Ittig is a graduate of the Leadership Fairfax Signature Program and is active in the community. She serves as an advisor to several nonprofit organizations, including the Virtual Trade Mission Foundation, a nonprofit corporation that provides trade-related education programs to high school students in the US and abroad.
